Welded Dachshund Sculpture

This unique welded Dachshund art piece by artist Karen Pester is absolutely gorgeous. The welded dachshund is 3' long and about 18" tall and hand-cut out of mild steel. His ears are bent and stand out from his head with cut-outs for an eye, heart, 4 bones and 2 balls. The glass has wire shapes fused between the layers and hangs from hooks on the back of the dog and the fused glass pieces are hung to be wind chimes in the dog. The steel is coated with several coats of Permalac to protect the steel and retard the oxidation process. The glass pieces can be done in any color.
