Main Picture: Snow Agility Course made out of snow!
SUMMER EVENTS:
YAPPY HOUR
When: Every Friday July 4th, 2008 thru Labor Day Weekend (5:30pm - 6:30ish)
Where: The Village at Squaw Valley
What: Every Friday from July 4th through Labor Day weekend Tails by the Lake will host Yappy Hour at the Village at Squaw Valley USA from 5:30 pm – 6:30 ish. Bring your dog out to the village and receive a free doggie ice cream from Tails by the Lake (Mint, Banana & Peanut Butter or Carob Chip) while you enjoy a little treat for yourself – a glass a wine from Mutt Lynch Winery Vineyards with a donation to The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. Pups will also receive a sample of doggie beer - yes, it's beer for dogs! Non-alcoholic and non-carbonated, Happy Tail Ale is the ultimate liquid refreshment for your best friend. The brew is made with choice malted barley and filtered water, featuring all-natural beef flavorings. Plus, it's fortified with Glucosamine and Vitamin E!
Store specials during Yappy Hour can help outfit your pup with a unique collar, dog house, yummy treat or cool toy. Mingle in the courtyard with canine critters and locals alike and then enjoy the live music from Marissa Campbell, treats & wine from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

ART BARK FEST - ANIMAL ART & WINE FESTIVAL
When: Saturday, Sept 15th & Sunday Sept 16th, 2007

Wine Tasting: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Fee: FREE ADMISSION Wine Tasting - $25
What: Visit gorgeous Lake Tahoe and enjoy sipping fine wines and browsing fine art underneath the peaks of Squaw Valley. The Art Bark Fest was created to combine the love of art & wine with the love of animals and is one of the only animal themed fine arts and wine festival in the country. The artwork varies from the work of Cholla the horse that paints abstract watercolors to a jeweler who creates a 14K gold necklace from your own dog's nose imprint.

HOWL-O-WEEN COSTUME CONTEST
When: Saturday, October 25th, 2008 12:00 pm
Where: The Village at Squaw Valley
What: The HOWL-O-WEEN Halloween costume contest is great fun and your pup can win fabulous prizes. Funniest & Most Original Costume Wins! (Boobie prize for worst).
Fee: $8 Entry Fee per Dog

DOGGIE AGILITY COURSE MADE of SNOW
When: Sunday, March 2, 2008 (11:30 am sign up)
Where: The Village at Squaw Valley
What: On Sunday, March 2 Tails by the Lake and The Village at Squaw Valley are hosting the Snowfest Doggie Agility Race at 12:00 pm (sign up 11:30 am) at The Village at Squaw Valley USA. This event features a dog agility course made entirely out of snow! Instead of cones to weave, your pup will maneuver a line of fire hydrants made of snow. Next he’ll run through a tunnel of snow, jump bone shaped hurdles and finish up over a snow made ramp. The agility course is nothing like you have ever seen and is a great way to kick off Snowfest.
Prizes from Tails by the Lake will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and each participant will receive a gift bag from the store. Tails by the Lake is a specialty store for dogs and cats in Squaw Valley that has outfitted North Lake Tahoe’s dogs and cats with their unique products for over three years.
The fee to participate is $10 and all the proceeds benefit The Humane Society of Truckee- Tahoe. Whether you enter your own pet or come to watch, the Doggie Agility course made of snow is a howlin’ good time!
